Not all classic car events are created equal. One whole week of events, in particular, leads to the classic car show that tops all. The Monterey Classic Car week started on August 10th.
You can attend many of the events. Finding general admission or spectators’ tickets is not a problem. Participating or buying could prove tough. This event is for classy cars that not everybody can afford to own. Many events and activities will allow you to enjoy the classic beauties up close, so don’t despair.
The whole week will be a feast for classic car lovers. The already started string of events includes The Little Car Show in Pacific Grove (free admission), Dine in DeVine at the Chateau Julien Wine Estate, Carmel Mission Concours in Carmel ($25), Monterey Car Wee 5th Annual Rally (free), and many more events.
Surely, some admission or diner events money will not be the only amount many will spend this week. Promising auctions start on Thursday and continue throughout the weekend. Classic car enthusiasts from all over the world will come to bid and win. This is why this week is special. At Monterey Peninsula, you will be part of some of the most elegant shows in the world, where affluent classic and vintage car owners gather to exhibit their vehicles and possibly buy more.
This internationally acclaimed week is when all the great old manufactured quality will be displayed and driven. Yes, driven! Not all events are static. Rolex Motorsport Reunion is a vintage racing event at Laguna Seca. The Pebble Beach Tour d’Elegance is a scenic 60-mile trip around the Monterey Peninsula. This year, for the first time the Tour will include a lap around the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
The whole week can take you back in time with hundreds of authentic vehicles. Each car has its history, and the owners would be more than eager to tell you their story. This year marks several significant anniversaries. The Chevrolet Corvette turns 60, Porsche 911 celebrates 50, and Aston Martin is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
The crown jewel of Monterey Classic Car Week is the Pebble Beach Concourse d’Elegance on Sunday, Aug. 18th. This tradition going back over half a century will bring thousands of people who share the same passion for fine classic cars in one beautiful place – Monterey Bay. Display events, racing, and auctions will provide an exclusive experience for classic car enthusiasts from around the world.
Among the best cars, you can also see the worst at Concourse d’Lemons at Laguna Grande Park in Seaside, Cal. To really appreciate the fine jewels at Monterey Classic Car week you have to see the hoopty rides too. We will be there this weekend to take a look at some amazing vehicles and surely give a hand to those who need to transport their classic vehicle.
