Maine is the northernmost state of the US bordering with Canada to the north. It is beautiful with its rugged coastline and low rolling mountains. Heavily forested the state is a haven for outdoor lovers. Certainly, it is famous for its seafood, and specifically lobster and clams. The real clam chowder soup comes from Maine.
Just like the rest of east coast states, Maine is where some of the first European settlements were established and later became part of the Union. It is definitely one of those states a lot of people never go to because it is just too far, or because they think it is too cold. Yet it is a top destination for all New Englanders.
If you plan on moving and settling there, congratulations! To fit in though, you will have to do one or two things. Eat seafood and ski or snowboard.
