If you do not mind that your car is driven to your destination then you can search for a drive-away services. You will find companies that offer to find you a driver following a strict criteria. If you want to do that sometimes you may even have the option to request a professional driver. However, this is not typical and in general, the bare minimum these companies follow is to screen the drivers they hire for clean driving record and they also have an age requirement.
You should read reviews and probably request references for the designated driver to make sure he has done that kind of a job before and he has done it well. Another great way would be to find a friend or relative willing to drive your car. In some cases it would be the cheaper option, and could be faster as well. My advice is to not try this if your car is an expensive vehicle, or a really valuable investment such as a classic automobile.
3. Drive the car yourself
Many people prefer to drive their own vehicle when moving, and one reason is because they think it is cheaper. However, that is not actually the truth. People often do no calculate travel expenses like food, fuel and accommodations. Keep in mind that this would be a car that you have never driven and there is no guarantee about it’s condition. Always try to have a back up plan and be prepared for the unexpected.
