What documents do I need when shipping a car?
When shipping a car from Sacramento to Seattle, you or someone on your behalf must release the vehicle to the carrier at pick-up. The person at pick-up will also need to sign a Bill of Lading (BOL). The BOL is a receipt and an inspection report. When the carrier inspects the car you need to check with that all existing damages are marked before you sign. Never sign a blank or incomplete document.
From the golden hills to the green meadows
Sacramento is that one city in California many of us dismiss easily. It is the capital of the state and opportunities are abundant. Still, it is not at the coast, and not in the mountains. It is in the middle, in Sacramento Valley. It is flat, hot and dry, and golden in the summer. To many, it would not be the best place to build a life. Yet, it has a lot to offer.
Employment opportunities, lower cost of living than San Francisco and Los Angeles, and lots of things to do in your leisure time. You will find many lakes, hills and parks, world-famous ski resorts less than two hours away and abundance of hiking and biking paths. Old Town Sacramento offers you a dive in the wild west, shopping and dining. Tower Bridge Sacramento is a famous landmark that makes for amazing and romantic walks. The State Capitol Park and William Land Park are another such places. And despite all this, many people move to Seattle!
The golden state or the green state?
The Golden State is perfect for nature-lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, but such is Washington state – the green state! And Seattle is the place to be. Thousands of people from all across the country move to Seattle every year. Is not surprising that citizens of Sacramento often choose to relocate there.
This city definitely deserves the love it gets. Do not be mistaken by some generalized reports. Yes, it rains in Seattle, and it is a lot, but definitely not all the time. It drizzles often, but you will get used to it! You will also get used to wearing a lot of shades. Seattleites have many shades for all the various shades of clouds!
The summer season is awesome in Seattle and it is always worth the wait through rainy days. In the summer the days are long and the places to visit in the city, and outside, are numerous. If you are an outdoor lover, you will be extremely happy with how easy it is to get on your bike, or hop in your car and be out in nature. And being outdoors actually is very much a thing you can do all year around. Seattle is not big on snow, only high in the mountains you will have that pleasure, but the bay area is pretty much spared of snowy winters.
Aside from weather and nature, Seattle is a food lover’s paradise. You will find tons of amazing little shops and restaurants that offer a variety of cuisines. Seafood is a thing there too, a big thing there. To be around all this you want to live in the city and it could be a bit pricey to rent an apartment, but it is still cheaper than San Francisco. Certainly, we have to mention the job market. Employment opportunities in the tech industry are abundant, but overall the situation is good and the state economy is strong. So, just pack your things and let us help you ship your vehicle. You just relax and think about your moving to Seattle!
