Moving to California with a car!
In California, you will certainly need a car because public transportation options are limited. When it comes to registering your vehicle in California, make sure you do so within the first 20 days of establishing your move. Keep in mind that you will also need to hold a valid car insurance. The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has very strict rules for all new residents. Before you relocate, we encourage you to learn about California car registration and driver’s license requirements. Once you become a permanent resident, you will need to apply for a California driver’s license and obtain it within 10 days after you officially move.
